It seems I am just as excited for summer break as my kids. We are all truly limping to the finish line. I’m done with herding everyone out the door at the crack of dawn, making lunches and monitoring homework after coordinating all the after-school activities for 3 kids. History suggests, however, that I’m probably grossly over-estimating how great summer break is.
Give me two weeks of no schedules, fighting siblings and hearing the words “I’m bored” and I’ll be fantasizing about the back to school season. All hope for a good summer break lies in being ready for battle. These 2 games for kids will make sure that I can beat my kids at their own game and take us all the way to Labor Day.
Pie Face is possibly the most fun game that you and your kids will ever play. It has quickly become my go-to birthday gift and playdate activity. Just make sure you have lots of whipped cream on hand.
Wet Head: I sometimes think the key to getting kids through middle school is making them play silly games and finding their inner child. Wet Head is one of the silliest but most fun games that you’ll play as a family. Put the cap on your head pill the peg and see if it’s your turn to get soaked.
Happy Summer (and your welcome!)
